Today in class, the teacher gave us time to finish the form we created in teams, which I've linked here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdvKWxPGmFSQG_BknNilLY-mTCaJ39dOSb3TI6gAvvaGKLWgQ/viewform?usp=dialog We also looked at different apps that allowed us to observe various ways of working with children. Many of them were new to me. Finally, something I really enjoyed was being able to interact with these apps as if we were the students.

Today in class we continued exploring the different methods for learning a new language, including their characteristics, advantages, disadvantages, and even examples with very clear and easy-to-follow videos. One of the highlights of today's class was seeing in the videos how children learn a new language, in this case English, and how they do it in a way that seems almost effortless. In my opinion, today's class was much more theoretical, and I spent most of my time taking notes, but at the same time, we were able to see how these methods are used in practice.

Today we made progress in the topic of ICT, exploring its roles and examples of how we can use it with children in Early Childhood Education. We then watched a video showing how children reacted to a class with a robot and how we can use it in different ways. The teacher also showed us how to create forms for working with children and for maintaining effective communication with parents and the school administration. Something I learned today is the wide range of uses for forms, including how to design them from scratch to our own preferences. My personal opinion of this class is that it was very rewarding, as we covered material that will be useful for our future teaching practice, and it also gave us our first experience working with ICT in our classroom groups.

In today's class, we randomly assigned topics to each group. We also delved deeper into the world of ClassDojo, where the teacher will interact with us for everything we do in class. We also began the topic of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies), which are very present in children's lives and, of course, in school. Something I learned today is when to be quiet and when to interact. We continued learning how to pronounce some words that we were still mispronouncing. Finally, something I want to highlight from this class, and that I really liked, is that it gives us the option to answer questions without fear of making mistakes. It instills confidence that if something is wrong, it's not the end of the world because that's what teachers are there for to teach us.

Today we continued comparing words with the pronunciation of vowels and consonants using Minimal PIRS. We completed a form to determine our intelligence type, and I discovered that mine is intrapersonal and highly visual. Finally, we began exploring different teaching methods for working with children in this foreign language. Something new I learned today is the difference between speaking English simply translated from Spanish, which is incorrect, and how it sounds when pronounced correctly. We also learned to say an English tongue twister. Lastly, something that surprised us is that we had never realized that we pronounce some letters differently in different words. A clear example is that in the word "MANCO," the "n" is not pronounced the same way, nor does it come from the same place in the mouth, as the "n" in the word "MANGA." I'm still amazed at how poorly we've been taught English, and I love how each class introduces us to the c...

To start this week, in today's English class, Juan Antonio introduced himself. He will be teaching on Mondays and Tuesdays. Like his colleague Maribel, he introduced himself by sharing a part of his life. We had to do the same, but he gave us two options: one was to say what animal we would be and why; the other was to say what character we would like to be and why. In this class, I realized that we've been taught English incorrectly our whole lives. For example, we learned that there are 12 vowels in English, not 5 like in Spanish. With the teacher's help and examples, we differentiated between short and long vowels and discussed how to explain this to children. Finally, we briefly reviewed Bloom's Taxonomy. To conclude, from my point of view, I'm very happy with both teachers because it's clear they enjoy their work and have a very good way of explaining English.

In this second class, it was our turn as students to introduce ourselves to the teacher and our classmates, although most of us already know each other. We also brought signs with our names, which were quite decorative, and I have to say, they weren't the most creative in the world. If there's one thing I've learned today, it's to look beyond people and see them for who they are. That is, not just knowing their names or where they're from, but also what their hobbies are or if they've had any paranormal experiences, for example. In my opinion, this class was very necessary to help us overcome the nervousness we always feel when speaking English, especially in front of our classmates.

Today was the first day of class, and the main thing we did was a presentation by the teacher about her life and how the subject will be taught this year. On the other hand, something new I learned today is all the job opportunities that exist depending on your education. This was thanks to Professor Maribel, who shared part of her life and her work in this field. I'm also reminded of how privileged I am in terms of my lifestyle, something other children didn't have during their childhood. Finally, my personal opinion about this first class is that I'm leaving with a very positive feeling. This is because of the teacher's approachability and because it's clear she loves her job. I was a little nervous because I've never been good at English, but I think that with her as my teacher, a part of me will want to continue improving in this language.
