To start this week, in today's English class, Juan Antonio introduced himself. He will be teaching on Mondays and Tuesdays. Like his colleague Maribel, he introduced himself by sharing a part of his life. We had to do the same, but he gave us two options: one was to say what animal we would be and why; the other was to say what character we would like to be and why.

In this class, I realized that we've been taught English incorrectly our whole lives. For example, we learned that there are 12 vowels in English, not 5 like in Spanish. With the teacher's help and examples, we differentiated between short and long vowels and discussed how to explain this to children. Finally, we briefly reviewed Bloom's Taxonomy.

To conclude, from my point of view, I'm very happy with both teachers because it's clear they enjoy their work and have a very good way of explaining English.
